Welcome to Year 3

A big welcome to Year 3's webpages! Over the next few months we, and the children, will be starting to build up this exciting space! Our webspace will be packed full of information, pictures and children's work.

After a fantastic first term we are now looking forward to the following exciting new topics throughout the Spring term. In Science we will be investigating magnetism and springs. Our linked history and geography topic takes us back 3000 years to Ancient Greece. We will be finding out what life was like in Ancient Greece whilst enjoying myths, legends and other stories about the Greek gods and goddesses. The highlight of the term will be our trip to the British Museum to find out even more about the Greeks through the museum's vast collection of artifacts and informative displays. In design and technology we will be evaluating a range of toys with moving parts to then plan and create our own moving monsters using pneumatic systems. During PE sessions the children will take part in exciting dance lessons, get involved in health related fitness and enjoy hockey later in the term.
